What does paw balm do?

Our all-natural balm for dog paws moisturises dry and cracked paws, and will get them smooth and supple after just a few days.

Why do dogs get dry paws?

Busy dogs get dry paws. Everyday life - whether running over rocks or pounding the pavements - takes its toll on those pads, which can make them dry, cracked and uncomfortable. Paw Balm is a natural dog paw moisturiser that’ll bring quick relief.

Protect paws from the elements

Temperature extremes can lead to sensitivity, too. Walking on snow, ice, salt and grit in winter can cause irritation and sensitivity and even lead to snowballs forming on dog’s paws. This makes Stanley’s Dog Paw Balm perfect as a protective barrier.

It’s not just cold weather that can be harmful, though - pavement temperatures can really rack up in the summer months and be uncomfortably hot to walk on. A good rule of thumb is that if you can’t keep your hand on the ground for a few seconds, it’ll be uncomfortable for your dog!

Busy dogs deserve perfect paws

Whether paws have been roughed up on an abrasive surface, become sore after experiencing hot or cold temperatures or if they just need a bit of well-deserved pampering after a long walk, use our natural dog paw moisturiser to rejuvenate and restore those pads.

How to use Stanley's Paw Balm

The balm may have hardened in the tin, but by rolling a pea-sized amount between your fingertips, it’ll soften quickly and be ready to apply. Gently massage the softened balm into the pads of your dog’s paws.

Repeat two to three times a day as required to help repair seriously dry, cracked paws, or apply once daily to healthy paws to keep them silky-soft and super-supple.

Made with 100% natural ingredients, Stanley's Dog Paw Balm is lick-safe and isn't harmful if ingested. But to give it time to work its magic, try distracting your dog with a treat or a toy after application.

PAW BALM FAQS

Our tins contain 60ml of balm, weigh about 60g when full and measure 70mm x 25mm.

Only a pea-sized amount is required per paw, so a tin of Paw Balm is likely to last for a good few months.

We'll post your balm via First Class Royal Mail on the same day if you order before 2pm. They aim to deliver the next working day, including Saturdays, but do allow a few days.

Stanley’s Dog Paw Balm is naturally lightly scented, thanks to the addition of geranium oil, which has fantastic antifungal and antibacterial properties. We’ve purposefully kept the scent subtle to minimise licking, but dogs will be dogs! There's no harm in it being licked off as it contains all-natural ingredients that are completely safe for dogs. But we've found it's best to distract with a toy, treat or meal time after applying to give it the best chance of sinking in.

Creams tend to use water, which balms do not. Balms made from oils and waxes, making them more, well, waxy, and better at forming a protective layer and locking in moisture. Whereas a balm can be fairly solid, cream’s higher water content means it’ll have a lighter consistency.

Yes! The cardboard is recyclable, the tape is eco-friendly and can be left on the box for recycling. The tissue paper inside is compostable or can also go in the recycling. We hope you'll keep the tin to re-use (it's ideal for carrying treats while out on walks), but it too can be recycled.
